Mahesh Babu To Return Part Of His Brahmotsavam Remuneration To Compensate Distributors Losses
It is well known that Super Star Mahesh Babu’s latest film Brahmotsavam, which released on 22nd May 2016 with high exceptions, gave a big blow to the film unit and distributors after the release, as the film didn’t impress the audience.
Directed by Sreekanth Addala and produced by PVP, Brahmotsavam is a family drama made at a high budget. The distributors have invested a lot of money on this movie hoping it will be a super hit. They were confident that they will earn a huge profit with this movie. But the things didn’t turn so well. The movie has received a lukewarm response from the audience and has failed miserably at box office collections. The social media was also flooded with trolls on the movie. Brahmotsavam.
Distributors have faced huge losses on the film, particularly the Nizam and overseas. As per the news, Nizam distributor has reportedly suffered more than 50% loss. In Overseas, the buyers took a big blow as the film rights were sold for a huge price of 13 crore rupees and the breakeven was around 3.5 Million USD, while the movie has grossed only 1.1 Million USD.
According to the latest buzz, Mahesh Babu has agreed to return a part of his remuneration to compensate the losses incurred by Brahmotsavam distributors. According to reports, Mahesh Babu had received an amount of 18 crores as remuneration and 7 crores as Table profit as producer. Reportedly total 25 crores for Brahmotsavam movie.
It is to be recalled that Mahesh Babu has also compensated the distributors who suffered huge losses from Aagadu.
