Staff Selection Commission (SSC) successfully conducted the Lower Division Grade Limited Departmental Competitive examination (LDCE) 2015 for Group ‘C’ Staff positions on 5th April 2015. A large number of candidates appeared for the examination which was held at New Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Allahabad, Chennai, Bangalore,Guwahati Chandigarh and Raipur. Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is an GOVT OF INDIA organisation to recruit staff for various posts in the various Ministries and Departments of the Government of India and in Subordinate Offices. This commission is an attached office of the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) which consists of Chairman, two Members and a Secretary-cum-Controller of Examinations. His post is equivalent to the level of Additional Secretary to the Government of India.

SSC conducts various examinations to recruit the eligible candidates in various departments. Recently, SSC conducted the Lower Division Grade Limited Departmental Competitive examination (LDCE) 2015 for Group ‘C’ Staff positions on 5th April 2015. The exam was conducted for recruitment to the post of Lower Division Grade reserved for regularly appointed Group ‘C’ Staff in the Grade Pay of Rs 1800 in Central Secretariat Clerical Service, Armed Forces Headquarters Clerical Service, Grade VI of the I.F.S. Branch ‘B’ Clerical Service, Central Vigilance Commission Clerical Service and Ministry of Railway(Railway Board).

A large number candidates appeared for the written examination. The exam consits of two papers with 200 marks. Paper-I Short Essay (Hindi or English) of 100 marks and Paper-II (objective type) General English or Saamanya Hindi, GK (English or Hindi) of 100 marks. Negative marking was done for wrong answers in the objective type paper. The duration of first paper was 1 hour 30 minutes and that of the second paper was 2 hours.
