This Powerful Post By Amitabh Bachchan To End Gender Inequality Will Make You Respect Him More!
Megastar Amitabh Bachchan always comes forward to support for social causes. His contribution to the society is very immense, be it in cinema or any social cause. Currently, he is the face of many social issues.
Now the actor has shown his support for gender equality and that too in a unique way.
Amid debates and discussions on Delhi University student Gurmehar Kaur’s campaign, Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan took to Twitter to advocate for gender equality.
Gender inequality has become a common thing in every field in India. Whether it is the workplace, politics or health sector, very often, women are not given the prime importance and are placed after men.
Moreover, this gender inequality also exists in our homes. Whenever there is the distribution of assets among the people in the house, men always have the upper hand. Why?
To break this stereotype, Amitabh Bachchan posted a powerful and insightful post, where he mentioned that he will divide the assets equally between his kids.
While in many Indian families, the property is inherited only by the son, Big B clearly stated, “T 2449 – #WeAreEqual .. and #genderequality … the picture says it all !!“

Amitabh Bachchan’s placard read,
“When I die, the assets that I shall leave behind shall be shared equally between my daughter and my son.“
The Legendary actor last year gave us a hard-hitting film PINK which spoke about how our society is prejudiced towards women.
Big B also wrote an open letter to his granddaughter asking her not to bow down in front of the conventions of the society. And now the actor shared a very powerful message on a social media platform professing his idea of implementing gender equality.
While, in terms of gender equality this does come as a massive support considering the fact that since ages, assets are usually left to the male child of the family with little to nothing being left in the name of the girl.
Amitabh Sir this indeed gives us one more reason to love and respect you more! What’s your take on this heartful gesture by Big B?
