Technical Branch in Indian Air Force:

Technical graduates B.E or B.TECH can join the IAF by entering in Aeronautical Engineering Branch. IAF offers two Aeronautical Engineering courses one is for Electronics and another is for Mechanical. These officer are trained by the senior officials regarding the functioning of complicated aircraft and weapon systems.

Ground duty in Indian Air Force:

Once you join IAF as a Ground Duty Officer in which you have to manage men and material. The flight of an aircraft is result of Men and Machines working on Ground. IAF offers various branches in Ground Duty such as

First and primary chance to start you life in Indian air force is to clear NDA (National Defence Academy) Exam, If you have passed 12th pass with physics and maths can attempt this exam. NDA is the door through which you should enter. If you have missed the first opportunity (NDA) then after graduation there is CDSE exam for you to fulfill your dream of becoming a pilot.

If you are engineering graduates there is an exam named AFCAT conducted twice in a year. As a post graduate (men and women), one can join as an officer in the Air force only in the Technical and Ground duty branch. where your life has settled there is no need to look back.
