A woman from Scotland was fined for breaching the coronavirus restrictions and for plunging her car into a river.
Emergency services had to rush to the River Nevis, which is near Ben Nevis, Scotland, at around 8:35 am on Sunday, after they were alerted about the incident.
Images of the incident were also shared on social media.
The pictures showed a red car partially submerged in the water as crews work to recover the vehicle from the Highland River.
According to reports, the vehicle was unoccupied when the incident happened.
No one was injured, said a report by Daily Record.
The police said that they ended up fining a 37-year-old woman for breaching the coronavirus restrictions.
The spokesperson for the Scotland Police released a statement about the incident, where they said:
We were made aware of a car entering the River Nevis in Glen Nevis shortly after 8.35am on Sunday, January 17. The car was unoccupied at the time and no one was injured. The car has since been recovered from the river. A 37-year-old woman was issued with a fixed penalty notice in connection with a breach of coronavirus regulations.
