Delhi: Bus Conductor And Driver Arrested For Robbing Its Passengers

Police Report: Police Officers in New Delhi arrested a bus driver and its conductor of a private bus company after they allegedly robbed their own passengers.

The 2 men have been identified as 34-year-old Jitender Singh Porwar who is a resident of the Rudraprayag District of Uttarakhand and 24-year-old Amit who is a resident of Shahdara, Delhi.

Chinmoy Biswal, DCP of the southest (Deputy Commissioner of Police) said that 7 people registered a complaint about the bus driver and the bus conductor, most of the robberies happened in the Sarai Kale Khan Bus Stand.

DCP Chinmoy Biswal said: “The victims told police that they all had reached Anand Vihar Railway Station by train on March 8 and after that, they boarded a private bus for Najafgarh. When the bus reached Yamuna Bridge, the conductor of the bus closed the rear door of the bus and threatened all the passengers with a stick and looted their money. After looting them, the accused persons asked them to de-board the bus near Sarai Kale Khan flyover.”

A case has been registered, both men were arrested in just 2 hours after the complaint was filed, the police arrested the men from Anand Vihar ISBT.

The normal route of the bus was on Anand Vihar Inter-State Bus Terminal to Noida. The bus that was used has been seized by the police, they also got Rs. 4000 from the men.
