CAT 2015 Admit Cards Will Be Available From October 25 @ iimcat.ac.in: The issuance of Common Admission Test (CAT) 2015 have been delayed which was earlier available from October 15, and will now available from October 25. All the candidates who have applied for the CAT 2015 examination are waiting for the admit cards. Candidates can download their admit cards from the official website from 25th October 2015.

CAT 2015 Admit Cards release date postponed to 25th October 2015 :

CAT is a computer based test and it is considered as one of the most arduous exam among all the MBA entrance exams held every year in India. Admission to the two year MBA programmes in IIMs are on merit, based on a rigorous selection process comprising of Group Discussions, Written Ability Test, Personal Interview and scores in the Common Admission Test (CAT).  As per Government of India norms, IIMs reserve 15% seats for SC candidates, 7.5% seats for ST candidates and 27% seats for NC-OBC candidates. 3% seats are also reserved for Persons with Disabilities. IIMs also provide scholarships to deserving students who need financial support.

The official notification regarding the CAT 2015 examination was released on July 26. The exam is scheduled to take place on November 29, for which the registrations began on August 6. The official notification contains every detail regarding the exam, including the changes in the test pattern that have been introduced this year.

Every year CAT exam is conducted to get admission into 20IMs and other top rated B-Schools across India. This year also the official notification has released on July 26, 2015. The Common Admission Test (CAT) 2015 exam is scheduled to be held on November 29, 2015. For the acadamic year 2015-16 the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2015 exam will be conducted by the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIM Ahmedabad).  The registration process for CAT 2015 was alredy started on August 6th, 2015.  CAT 2015 Admit Card release date postponed to 25th October, 2015.  The delay in the issuing the CAT 2015 Admit Card  for all the applied candidates as it is stated, there are two major reasons. Firstly, the application process has been extended because of higher number of registrations and the other being the applications for this year leaped from 1.97 lakhs last year to 2.18 lakhs this year. This year, the test will be held across 115 centres and will be conducted in a single day in 2 slots.  IIM Indore was holding Common Admission Test (CAT) from last two years.

Candidates who have applied for the CAT 2015 exam will be able to download their Admit Cards from 25th October 2015, 1:00 onwards till the day of the exam.

CAT 2015 New Pattern:

The CAT 2015 will be divided into three sections:

  • Quantitative Aptitude (QA) having 34 questions
  • Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DILR) with 32 questions
  • Verbal and Reading Comprehension (VRC) with 34 questions

The total duration for the exam is 180 minutes and will be having 100 questions. Candidates will not be allowed to switch between sections, unlike previous year. First time in the history of CAT, applicants will be allowed to use basic on screen calculator for calculation. The tutorial for changed pattern of CAT 2015 Exam will be declared on 15th October, 2015.
