Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) competitive examination will be conducted by Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore from 30th January to 7th February 2016. GATE 2016 Registration:

GATE exam is conducted every year as a gateway to postgraduate courses at the Master’s and Doctoral level across the country. The score is also used by some Public and Private Sector Undertakings for employment processes. Direct recruitment to Group A level posts i.e., Senior Field Office (SFO Tele), Senior Research Officer (SRO) (Crypto) and SRO(S&T) in Cabinet Secretariat is now being done on the basis of GATE scores. It primarily tests the comprehensive understanding of the candidates in various undergraduate subjects in Engineering/Technology/Architecture and post-graduate level subjects in Science.

Eligibility Criteria:

The candidates who hold any of the following degrees are eligible to apply for GATE 2016:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology (four years after 10+2 or three years after Diploma in Engineering or Technology)
• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture (five years)
• Four-year Bachelor’s degree in Science (B.Sc.)
• Master’s degree in any branch of Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Applications or its equivalent
• Four-year integrated Master’s degree in Engineering or Technology
• Five-year integrated Master’s degree or dual degree in Engineering or Technology
• Five-year integrated M.Sc. or five-year integrated B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree
