The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) has issued the official notification for Common Admission Test (CAT 2015) on 26th July, 2015. All the candidates who wish to pursue MBA from one of the IIM’s will have to appear for CAT 2015 exam. The registration procedure will commence from today i.e. August 6, 2015. Candidates can apply for CAT 2015 at the official website of CAT 2015 i.e., www.iimcat.ac.in before the last date i.e., September 20, 2015. The exam is scheduled to be held on November 29, 2015. CAT 2015 Registration Apply Online:

The Common Admission Test (CAT) is a computer based test held in India. This test scores a person on the basis of quantitative ability, data interpretation, verbal ability and logical reasoning. The test is conducted every year by one of the IIM’s based on a policy of rotation. CAT 2015 will be conducted by Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) as a pre-requisite for admission to various management programmes of IIMs. Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and Indian Institute of Science (IISc) also use the CAT scores, instead of the Joint Management Entrance Test (JMET), to select students for their management programmes. IIM-Ahmedabad will conduct CAT 2015 on November 29, 2015 in two sessions.

To attend for CAT 2015 exam, the candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree with at least 50 percent from a recognised university or institute. The candidates will be selected based on Written Ability Test, Group Discussion and Personal Interview.

CAT 2015 Exam Paper pattern:

This year, CAT has a few changes i.e. the duration of the exam has been increased to 10 minutes and new section has been added i.e. Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning (DILR). The paper will be divided into 3 sections namely – Quantitative Aptitute (QA), Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning (DILR), Verbal & Reading Comprehension (VRC).

• For SC/ST/PWD/DA: Rs 800 /-

CAT 2015 Important Dates:

1. Release of Advertisement: 26th July 2015 (Sunday)
2. Online Registration for CAT: 6th August to 20th September, 2015
3. Admit Card Download: 15th October 2015, 1:00 PM till Exam Day
4. Date of exam: 29th November 2015 (Sunday)
5. Release of Results: Second week of January, 2016
