JEE Main: CSAB to declare seat allotment results for NITs, IITs and GFTIs today

Central Seat Allotment Board (CSAB) conducted the JEE Main 2015 Examination for admission into Self Financed Technical Institutes (SFTIs). All the candidates who have appeared for the examination attended the counselling process are now waiting for the seat allotment result. CSAB is going to declare seat allotment result today i.e; 12th August 2015 . Candidates can check the result from the official website or from the link provided below. The selected candidates are required to report to their respective institutes from August 12 to 14. The candidates who fail to report to the institute allotted to them will lose their seat, and the initial fee paid by them will be forfeited.

Seat Allotment Results of JEE Main 2015:

A Central Counseling Board (CCB) constituted by the Govt. of India coordinated admissions to UG degree programmes in engineering, technology and architecture in respect of selected institutes till 2012. From 2013 onwards, Central Counseling Board (CCB) and All India Engineering Entrance Exam (AIEEE) has been renamed as Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) and JEE (Mains) respectively. The Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India took a policy decision in 2002 to conduct an All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE) annually, doing away with many of the large number of entrance examinations that were being conducted till then by various institutes in the country for admission to undergraduate degree programs in the disciplines of Engineering/Technology and Architecture/ Planning.

Every year Central counselling board conducts the JEE Main examination for the admissions into various undergraduate courses in different colleges. This year the examination was held and the counselling process had been conducted. All the students who have attended for the counselling process are eagerly waiting for the seat allotment order. The counselling process began on July 29 and is not scheduled to be concluded by August 14. Initially, the candidates were allowed to deposit the fee by August 5 and fill and save their choice of course and college online by August 6. The candidates are required to download the e-challan and pay a fee of Rs 40,000 before they can register online. The date for online registration, filling-in and saving of choice of course/college had been extended up till August 11.

The results were declared to be on 7th August 2015 but the seat allotment results will be announcing today i.e; 12th August 2015. All the candidates who have selected should report th colleges from 12th August 2015 to 14th August 2015.

CSAB Special Counselling Process for NIT’s/IIIT’s/GFTI’s:

CSAB is conducting a special counselling process for admissions to Self Financed Technical Institutes. The students can take admissions on the basis of their rank in the JEE Main 2015. There are a total of 34 SFTIs participating in this process. Candidates shall be offered only one seat based on their choice and their JEE Main All India Rank (AIR) in Paper-I or Paper-II, as applicable.

JEE Main AIR in Paper-I and Paper-II shall be considered for seat allocation in Engineering and Architecture/Planning, respectively. Allocation of seat will be done strictly on the basis of merit in order of preference of choices filled in by the candidates and availability of seats.

Revised Schedule for Special Round – CSAB Counselling for NITs/IIITs/GFTIs:

Payment of commitment fee of Rs.45,000/- or Rs 20,000/- as per category of the candidate through
State Bank of India (SBI) by e-challan Up to 17th Aug, 2015 till 05.00 PM

ONLINE Registration, Filling up the Choices and Locking of Choices (It may take around six hours to
enable your registration and choice filling from the time of payment of initial fee at SBI) Up to 17th Aug, 2015 till Mid night

Publishing of Seat Allotment Result: 18th Aug, 2015

Reporting to the College: 18th to 26th Aug, 2015.
