Odisha SSC Inspector Admit Card 2015:

The Odisha Staff Selection Commission (OSSC) was set up by Govt. of Odisha as a statutory body in the year 1994 for carrying out direct recruitment against Group-C posts in the State cadre. The Commission is headed by the Chairman, and, in addition, it comprises of a Member. They are appointed by the Government and are governed by Rules regulating their recruitment and conditions of service. Examination Pattern:

The exam will be divided into Preliminary and Main Exam. The candidates who have qualified in the Prelims are eligible for the main exam.

Preliminary Exam:

This will be an objective type multiple choice test and will have questions on general knowledge. The examination is of 100 marks.

Main Exam:

Candidates who have qualified in the first paper can write the main exam. The main exam consists of three papers with 100 marks each and a total of 300 marks. The following is the syllabus

• A letter or application
• Odia to English Translation
• English to Odia Translation
• Precis Writing in English: 20 Marks

Arithmetic:

• Vulgar fraction and decimal
• HCF and LCM
• Partnership
• Average
• Time and work
• Time and distance
• Profit and loss
• Mixture
• Ration and Proportion
• Simple and Compound Interest

General Knowledge:

The paper consists of questions on the latest news, current affairs, and current events.

Computer test (Practical):

The candidates who secure at least 35 percent marks in each paper will be eligible to appear the Computer test. To be selected for viva-voice test candidates should get 40 percent marks in this paper

Viva voce test:

The candidates who qualify the computer test and secure good mark in English and Arithmetic and GK will appear a Viva Voce test of 35 percent mark.
