Board of Secondary Education Odisha, is going to conduct Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) on 27th September 2015 at 223 centers. A large number of eligible and interested candidates applied for the examination. The examination will be held from 10 am to 12.30 pm and 2 pm to 4.30 pm for primary and secondary teacher examination respectively. The Board of Secondary Education, Odisha is a Body Corporate constituted under the Odisha Secondary Education Act, 1953. It regulates, controls and develop Secondary Education in the State of Odisha. It Provides varied courses in order to equip students for different occupations, to prepare them for University education and to equip them for various cultural purposes. Teacher Eligibility Test known as TET is an Indian entrance examination for teachers. The test is mandatory for getting teaching jobs in government schools from Class 1 to Class 8. Paper 1 is meant for teachers opting for Class 1 to Class 5 and Paper 2 for Class 6 to Class 8. It is conducted by both Central government and State governments in India. Most states conduct their own TET. The test is conducted in order fulfill and achieve the goals of the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act. Odisha Government is going to conduct Teacher Eligibility Test in the month of September 2015.
