Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL) is the national level competitive examination for the nontechnical Group C vacancies in the departments of central government. Staff Selection Commission (SSC) holds this recruitment every year and conducts the examination all over the India. Recently, it has released the SSC CHSL recruitment notification 2015 for 6578 vacancies of Postal Assistant/ Sorting Assistant, Lower Division Clerk, and Data Entry Operator posts. The examination will be conducted in the month of November 2015 at various examination centers.

SSC CHSL LDC & DEO Exam Pattern 2015:

The SSC CHSL 2015 exam pattern will help the candidates to prepare a strategy and improve the attempt in their examination.

  • There shall be 4 parts of the single question paper – General Intelligence, English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, and General Awareness.
  • 50 questions each would be asked from these sections. Each section carries 50 marks.
  • Duration of the exam is 2 hours or 120 minutes.
  • The Paper will consist of objective type (multiple choice questions) only.
  • Questions will be set both in English & Hindi for Part-I, III & IV.
  • There will be negative marking of ¼ marks for each wrong answer.

SSC Combined 10+2 Level Syllabus 2015:

General Intelligence & Reasoning: This topic is very interesting as it test your mental ability and presence of mind. It includes ques. of both verbal and non-verbal type. Topics are Semantic Analogy, Symbolic Operations, Symbolic/ Number Analogy, Trends, Figural Analogy, Space, Orientation, Semantic Classification, Venn Diagrams, Symbolic/ Number Classification, Drawing interference etc.

Quantitative Aptitude: This includes Arithmetic, Algebra, Geometry, Mensuration, Trigonometry and Statistical Charts. These are the 06 main topics to be study in Quantitative Aptitude. Among these trigonometry and Statistical Charts are found tough by the applicants to solve. So applicants should carefully solve these questions.

General Awareness: Questions in this section are designed to test the general awareness of the environment around him and its application to society. This will also test the knowledge of the applicants of Current Affair or Events and day to day activities. Questions will be asked also from History, Culture, Geography, Economics, and General Policy etc.

General English: 10+2 level Grammar questions will be asked like Spot the Error, Fill in the blanks, Synonyms/ Homonyms, Antonyms, Spellings/ Detecting Mis-Spelt words, Idioms & Phrases, One word substitutions, Improvement of Sentences, Active/Passive Voice of verbs etc.
