Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducted the civil services preliminary examination on 23rd August 2015. A large number of students applied and appeared for the examination which was held at various examination centers across India. The candidates who had appeared for the examination are eagerly waiting for the results. UPSC is likely to declare Preliminary examination results in the month of October 2015. Although, it is not official sources of UPSC said the “Assessment of the question papers are underway and the results of the 2015 UPSC Preliminary Exam may be declared by the first or second week of October”.

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is India’s central agency authorised to conduct the Civil Services Examination, Indian Forest Service examination, Engineering Services Examination, Combined Defence Services Examination, National Defence Academy Examination, Naval Academy Examination, Combined Medical Services Examination, Special Class Railway Apprentice, Indian Economic Service/Indian Statistical Service Examination, Combined Geoscientist and Geologist Examination, and Central Armed Police Forces(Assistant Commandant) Examination. This year UPSC conducted the Civil services preliminary examination in the month of August 2015. UPSC conducted the civil services preliminary examination on 23rd August 2015 which had two papers of 200 marks each. A large number of candidates appeared for the examination and are waiting for the results. Candidates can check the results in the month of October 2015. Candidates who will qualify in the preliminary exam should appear for the main exam followed by the interview. The merit list of qualifying candidates for the Civil Services (Mains) examination is drawn by using the aggregate marks obtained in both the papers minus the maximum marks allocated to the questions on English language comprehension skills (i.e. those questions in Paper-II for which Hindi translation has not been given). The civil service examination is taken by students to get into the Indian Administrative Service, Indian Foreign Services and Indian Police Service.
