The Civil Services of India (known simply as the Civil Services) refer to the civil service and the permanent bureaucracy of the Government of India. The civil service system is the backbone of the administrative machinery of the country. Every year it conducts various examinations. The examination is in three stages i.e; Preliminary, Mains and the interview. Candidates who qualify in the preliminary examination are eligible for Mains and who successfully complete the main examination are selected for the interview process. UPSC is going to declare the IAS Preliminary examination results on 13th October 2015. A huge number of candidates appeared for both the papers i.e; Paper-1 and Paper-2 which was held in the  morning and after- noon sessions on 23rd August 2015. Paper I tested the candidate’s knowledge on current events, history of India and Indian national movement, Indian and World Geography, Indian Policy and governance, Economic and social development, environmental ecology, biodiversity, climate change and general science. The minimum marks to qualify is 30. Paper II tested the candidates skills in comprehension, interpersonal skills, communication, logical reasoning, analytical ability, decision-making, problem-solving, basic numeracy, data interpretation, English language comprehension skills and mental ability.
