Commentator Aakash Chopra Brutally Slams Airtel For Its Ad Featuring A Little Girl Who Wants A Bodyguard In Phone!
It seems like 2017 is not going well for Airtel, the telecom giant has been surrounded by lots of controversies since a few months. Firstly, Airtel’s fake claim of “Officially India’s fastest 4G network” was questioned and then, a complaint was filed by Jio against its misleading offers.
After reviewing the complaint filed by Jio, TRAI strictly asked Airtel to stop these discriminating offers right away. Thus, the intense war between Airtel and Jio is getting bloodier day by day.
And now, the latest one to slam Airtel is Aakash Chopra, the Commentator turned former cricketer. As we all know Aakash Chopra is ruling the field these days and he is one of the most active Twitter users in India who does not mince his words to share a point on the current happenings or other misleading stuff.
Taking a valid point recently, he has criticized Airtel for its ad which involves a little girl. This is the ad which made him furious, once have a look at it.
Watch The Video Here:
In this, Airtel has described some features which should be there in smartphones. The ad shows a little girl expressing her desire to have a bodyguard in her smartphone so that he could come to the rescue when someone eve-teases a girl.
The present-day commentator didn’t like it because the ad features a child. Angry Aakash just had 1 question i.e. “What’s happened to advertising?”
He took to Twitter and thrashed Airtel; check out his series of tweets here…

We agree with Aakash. Such ads portray the negativity of Indian society and create a bad influence on everyone’s minds, especially children. The girl who is saying the dialogue of “Eve teasing” in the ad must not be knowing its meaning too. Such ads should be avoided, don’t you think so?
