On Sunday, the police officials said that Sonakshi Sinha a famous Bollywood actress and 4 other people have been charged after they allegedly cheated on an event organizer.

A case under the IPC (Indian Penal Code) sections to pertaining cheating and criminal breach of trust has been registered for Sonakshi Sinha and the 4 other people involved in the case.

A complaint registered on November 24, 2018, Pramod Sharma an event organizer said that he paid INR 24 Lakhs to a company, Pramod wanted Sonakshi Sinha to be a part of a prize distribution function that was held in Delhi, Sonakshi Sinha did promise to be present in the event, but Pramod said that she did not show up during the event date.

Pramod Sharma, a resident of Shivpuri said that he paid Rs. 37 Lakhs in total to Sonakshi Sinha.

SSP (Superintendent of Police) Ravindra Gaud of the Moradabad Police Station said that: “The investigating officer in the case had served a notice to Sinha and the four others, but after not getting a response an FIR was registered on Friday.”

The 4 other people that are included in the case have been identified as Abhishek, Malvika Dhumil, and Edgar, all of them are residents of Mumbai.

The case was registered in the Katghar Police Station.

Ajeet Singh the Station House Officer of the Katghar Police Station said that the case has been registered under the sections of 420 and 460 which are for cheating and criminal breach of trust in the IPC (Indian Penal Code).

He also added that the investigation has started for the said case.
