Earlier, there was no way to judge the power of an actor except through the Box Office. But now, we have many ways to rate the power of an actor. One method that is prominent is the count of social media. Nowadays, several brands go behind a star’s social media hype before giving him/her endorsements.

One of the great superstars of Bollywood Amitabh Bachchan is known for his excellent screen presence and his voice. And he is one person who doesn’t need an introduction. He is one of the most followed celebrities on social media, especially on Twitter. From his pictures of meeting fans on Sundays to remembering his old films, Big B often shares his opinions and comments.

Amitabh Bachchan, whose staff keeps a record of reports on the industry that appears across the media, had an interesting news report that seems to have caught the actor’s eye. “Deepika, Kat Too Tall for Shahid, Aamir” – read the newspaper clipping, which was a report on how Shahid Kapoor and Aamir Khan had to be made look taller to match their lead heroines Deepika Padukone in Padmaavat and Katrina Kaif in Thugs of Hindostan respectively.

Well for this ‘height problem’ of Bollywood, Mr. Bachchan shared a witty solution and also a job application. Yes, it’s true. On Saturday night, Big B shared his job application on Twitter in an apparent reply to a news piece.

Mr. Bachchan’s tweet read: “Job Application: Name: Amitabh Bachchan, DOB: 11.10.1942, Allahabad; Age: 76 years, Credentials: worked in films for 49 years, In approx 200 Films, Speaks: Hindi, English, Punjabi, Bengali; Height: 6’2”. Available, You Shall Never Have Height Problem!!!”

The 76-year-old actor has worked with both actresses – Deepika Padukone and Katrina Kaif – in the past. He featured opposite Deepika Padukone in Piku and acted opposite Katrina Kaif in  Bombay Talkies, Sarkar, and Boom.

The actor has often spoken about how his height was an impediment when he started working in the Hindi film industry. “Too thin and too tall,” is how filmmakers dismissed him when Bachchan was trying to make his debut in the industry. Now, 49 years later, he stays the tallest star in the industry – literally and figuratively.

Now, we are waiting for what Katrina and Deepika have to say about this solution to their height woes. On the work front, Big B will be starring in Thugs of Hindostan alongside Aamir Khan and in Brahmastra alongside Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor. The film is directed by Ayan Mukerji and is slated to release on August 15, 2019. He will be soon seen in Rishi Kapoor starrer 102 Not Out.
