Arjun Kapoor’s First Tweet After Sridevi’s Death Is Heart-Wrenching
Sridevi’s untimely death has left a void in the entire film fraternity in India. On February 25, the country woke up to the shocking news of one of a legendary actress of Bollywood Sridevi’s death. Indian cinema lost the versatile actress and gems Sridevi who breathe her last in a family function in Dubai.
She was in Dubai to attend her nephew Mohit Marwah’s wedding when she suffered a cardiac arrest on Saturday night, leaving her family, fans, and Bollywood in shock. While her husband Boney Kapoor and younger daughter Khushi Kapoor accompanied Sridevi to the wedding in Dubai, Janhvi decided to stay behind in Mumbai to shoot for her debut film Dhadak.
We all know that Sridevi is the second wife of Boney Kapoor who already had two children, Arjun Kapoor and Anshula Kapoor. Thus, Sridevi is a stepmother to Arjun Kapoor. Since the time Arjun made his debut in Bollywood, there were quite a few speculations about him not being a cordial relationship with his stepmother and her daughters.
Despite being their stepmother, the brother-sister duo stood by Boney Kapoor as he reached Mumbai with Sridevi’s mortal remains. Reportedly, Arjun Kapoor was shooting for “Namastey England” in Ludhiana but as he came to know about Sridevi’s death, he stopped the shooting and flew to Dubai to accompany Boney Kapoor in this tough time.
Everyone appreciated Arjun Kapoor for his simplicity and humbleness. Not only Arjun, even his sister Anshula slammed trollers who abused Jahnvi and Khushi.
After his step mother’s demise, Arjun posted an inspirational tweet on Twitter. It was a quote by R M Drake. It read, “You’re brave because life gives you every reason to want to give up and still, you rise, you pick yourself up and carry on”. He captioned it, “One day at a time..”
