Bike That Can Go On Water

Have you ever seen a bike that can go on Water? In an incredible video going viral, a professional stunt biker leaves behind the dirt floor of the rain forest — to ride over the ocean. Robbie ‘Maddo’ Maddison, 34, released a video titled ‘Pipe Dream’ which shows him riding his bike on the giant waves of Tahiti on his motorbike in a crazy feat that took two years to perfect. This is incredibly AWESOME! In the video, Mr. Maddison rides a special bike rigged with wakeboard-like bottoms through the jungle and straight into the bright blue waters, where he roars past kayakers and surfers to finally, take on a big wave of his own.

The breathtaking results are something you have to see to believe. Water sprays up behind Robbie Maddison as he speeds across the ocean waves of Tahiti. Mesmerized surfers are left in his wake.

How did they do it?

Maddison worked with DC Shoes to modify his bike so it could take to the water. They added skis to both wheels to keep the vehicle afloat. They also equipped the bike with airbags that Maddison could activate to keep the bike from sinking if he crashed.

Robbie Maddison's Pipe Dream

For nearly two years Robbie has been focused on making surfing on his motorbike a reality. His efforts paid off in Tahiti, where he rode the world famous waves at Teahupoo and Papara. Needless to say, don’t try this at home.
