It has been great summer with the release of India’s biggest magnum opus film ‘Baahubali – The Conclusion’ on April 28, 2017. The film has been creating and breaking several box office records in India and also overseas.

We had seen Baahubali-2 on reaching the 1500 crore collections worldwide and it has set a benchmark for every upcoming Indian film in future. Earlier, it was Aamir Khan’s Dangal that broke all box office records.

After seeing the market of Aamir Khan in China, the makers of PK released the movie in China. Now, the makers of Dangal also released the movie as Aamir has a great market over there. Dangal and Baahubali 2 were 2 big movies that hit the headlines right from the day they were announced.

Dangal had emerged as the highest grosser, but with Baahubali 2’s release, tables turned. Though the movie Dangal was released earlier in India, it has not lost its essence in China. The movie had done great in China and become the talk of the town.

Both the flicks have been battling each other at the global Box Office and at one point, it was difficult to predict the highest grosser of all time. Soon after SS Rajamouli’s film released, it broke all Dangal records and took its place on the top.

But with Dangal’s release in China, things changed once again. It was a tough competition; on 27th of May, there was just 1 crore difference between the two films. While Dangal’s collections were 1622 crores, Baahubali 2’s collections were 1623 crores. Everyone expected that Dangal would easily overtake it, considering the love it is receiving in China.

And finally, Aamir’s film has done it. On 28th of May i.e. yesterday, Dangal went ahead of Baahubali 2 and we have an official proof of the same. Check it out.

“On Sunday, Dangal earned a whopping 40 crores in China. So, the total collections as on 28th of May were 1662 crores. (885 crores in China, 32 crores in Taiwan and 745 crores in other parts of the world). This 40 crores jump is what has paved way for Dangal’s success.”

“On the other hand, Baahubali 2 has earned 1633 crores till 28th of May. Now, the difference is approximately 30 crores.”

Will Rajamouli’s flick be able to cover up Dangal to surpass once again?

This has been the toughest battle ever witnessed in the film industry. We have to wait and see, finally which film will emerge as the winner. Both the movies deserve such high collections.
