According to the latest film updates, Deepika Padukone has become the first Bollywood actress to charge (above 10 crores) whopping Rs 12 crores for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Padmavathi’.
According to a statement published by a newspaper, it claims that they have also seen an e-mail exchange that contained details of the contract. But this news hasn’t come as a surprise to many because when Forbes released its list of 100 richest Indian celebrities for 2015, Padukone was the ONLY woman to feature among the top-10.
“Earlier for ‘Ram-Leela’, Deepika got Rs 1 crore, for ‘Bajirao Mastani’, it was Rs 7 crore, and this time, it is Rs 12.62 crore, making her the first Bollywood actress to break the Rs 10 crore barrier.” Kangana Ranaut has made it top when she received the highest fee among actresses which is close to Rs 11 crore.
