After the grand success of ‘Bajirao Mastani’, Sanjay Leela Bhansali is now coming up with his next historical flick featuring the Bollywood Queen ‘Deepika Padukone’ with whom he worked in the former one. Amidst the clouds of controversies and groping attacks, Bansali somehow did well so far.

Having two skilled actors like Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh in the movie playing the two significant roles, it is already a difficult job for Deepika to outshine them, but, so far considering her earlier movies, we can be sure that she will ace the role with ease for sure, which she has been good at from the beginning of her career.

As per the trailer and other talks from the makers, it is already clear that the movie is centered around Deepika Padukone and she is the absolute lead actor.

From the age-old statistics, it is believed that the actress will be paid less than the actors at any cost. Well, Deepika reciprocated the usual norm with her ‘Padmavati’. She is now taking the highest remuneration in Bollywood. After much-awaited conversation regarding the conversation on the remuneration thing, it is assumed that the finalized amount is Rs 13 Crores. While, Shahid and Ranveer will be paid Rs 10 crores each, though there’s no confirmation from the producers.

Now, for the first time, Deepika has finally opened up on the cheque she has received. Though she did not reveal the amount her reply implies the assumptions are otherwise, or simply very low. She said: “Talking about my remuneration isn’t exciting. But I am proud and confident about the money I get. You are comfortable with what you are paid. But what makes me happy is that they (producers) have invested so much money in a film which has a poster featuring me on it. That makes me proud.”

Talking about the prowess of the character Rani Padmini in terms of women, she said, “In terms of scale, budget and resources, it’s a huge film. We have seen strong female parts at the fore on screen in different films in different ways. I think this (Padmavati) is the beginning of great things women have in films.”

Well, after all, now, only Sanjay Leela Bhansali knows the real number Deepika has received and as per her tricky reply, we can’t be sure of anything at all.
