Sanjay Leela Bhansali directed historical drama film ‘Padmavati’ had faced and still facing constant disruption in the form of violence and threats from members of Rajput Karni Sena ever since they disrupted the shoot of the film in Jaipur in 2017. The troubles continued and didn’t seem to end any sooner and also witnessed increasing threats against the director of the film and the actors.

From creating violence to slapping Bhansali, Karni Sena had never left any stone unturned to put a ban on the flick. Despite the fact that Bhansali made a clarification of no scene between Rani Padmavati and Alauddin Khilji, Karni Sena’s goons had started harassing the filmmaker and the cast of the film.

They also claimed that there is a romantic dream sequence between Rani Padmavati and Allauddin Khilji. Even prize was announced on the heads of Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Deepika Padukone and one Rajput leader warned Deepika of chopping her nose if she didn’t stop talking in support of the film.

However, the film got released on January 25 and people are loving it. While people are going crazy over Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone characters, the duo has been always on news for one or other reasons. Now,  Deepika is in the news regarding her performance in the movie.

Deepika Padukone and her ex-boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor may have moved on in life but they are still on good terms after their break-up. Earlier, Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor were in a committed relationship for a long time. In fact, even Ranbir’s parents Neetu Singh and Rishi Kapoor share a good relationship with the actress.

Neetu Kapoor and Rishi Kapoor have showered Deepika Padukone with praise for her performance in Padmaavat. To congratulate Deepika for her stupendous act, the veteran actors sent her flowers with a note that read, “Excellent work!!! So very proud of you. Love Neetu and Rishi Kapoor.”

Deepika, in return, took to social media to thank ex-boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor’s parents Rishi and Neetu. She uploaded the pic of flowers and posted on her Instagram account with a caption, “It was so lovely seeing both of you yesterday…Thank You for all the love & appreciation! @neetu54 #RishiKapoor.”

Rishi Kapoor, who never minces his words, on January 25 took a sly dig at the ongoing protests against Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s period drama Padmaavat. He posted a picture of Ranveer Singh holding Karan Johar’s face gazing at each other, and captioned it: “Ranveer Singh has announced that if Karni Sena tries to stop the release of Padmaavat, he will do Johar.”

Meanwhile, Padmaavat is still facing the ire of Rajput organizations who are constantly protesting against the film.

However, seeing the response of the audience, the trade analysts have been predicting that the movie will earn a huge amount in the upcoming week and might become one of the highest-grossing movies of the year.
