His Parents Abandoned Him Thinking He Was Too Ugly, And This Is What He’s Doing Now

What happens when we feel so weak? when we feel so much abandoned and lost in life? Where’ll we go once we starting feeling low or missing someone?

The common and sensible answer for every above question is, our dear parents!

Yes! parents are the pillars that help us to reach the roof of success and contentedness. Now imagine how it will be if parents are the people who actually abandoned a person in his childhood, just because the child is born with bad looks?

This heartbreaking incident took place in the United States of America with Jono Lancaster, now inspirational speaker.

Jono Lancaster is 36 hours old when he was abandoned at the hospital bed two decades back, as they discovered that his parents discovered that their child is deformed and that can’t be curable. He was later adopted by a woman named Jean Lancaster.

Jono was born with a rare disease called ‘Treacher Collins Syndrome’, a disease resulting in a severe deformation of the facial features. It was genetic, an accident of birth. From an early age, he felt alone and channelled that sadness into aggressive behaviour. He was bullied and picked on in his schooling, which turned on his life later.

However, after certain years, Jono was discovered on social media that he had two other siblings who do not know that he exists. He tried to reach out to his parents again. They rejected him a second time, and this is the second big blow that broke him once again.

He has been travelling throughout the world to find the people like him, help them out and lead a normal life. He is now a successful inspirational speaker with a happy family of two kids. Now, Jono’s life has become an idiom of inspiration for the people of his kind.

When asked about his message for every human being out there, Jon says:

“My parents still want nothing to do with me,” he says, “What’s changed is my attitude, and that’s so powerful. […] I wouldn’t change any of it. My attitude was more disabling than anything. With the right attitude, you can achieve anything.”
