Is Deepika Padukone and Irfan Khan Untitled Ganster Movie Shelved?
Vishal Bharadwaj’s much-awaited Gangster drama starring Deepika Padukone and Irfan Khan is currently on the shelf as both of the lead actors have fallen sick, due to which Vishal has postponed his movie. The shoot was supposed to start this month in Nepal. Vishal gave an official statement today saying that the movie is rescheduled after a few months after the actor’s health gets back to normal. He tweeted saying
“Pushing back film by a few months, @irrfank down with jaundice and @deepikapadukone with resurfaced back issue caused during Padmaavat. While prepping, was transported to Maqbool days. Stunning look tests, can’t wait to start shoot. Sending pyaar & duaaen to my Ustara and Afshan.”
Irfan has recently posted on Twitter saying that he has been diagnosed with a rare disease. He said
“Sometimes you wake up with a jolt with life shaking you up. The last fifteen days, my life has been a suspense story. Little had I known that my search for rare stories would make me find a rare disease. I have never given up and have always fought for my choices and always will.My family and friends are with me and we are working it out the best way possible. In trying times, please don’t speculate as I will myself share with you my story within a week – ten days, when the further investigations come with a conclusive diagnosis. Till then, wish the best for me!- Irrfan”

As for Deepika Padukone, she was suffering from a backache which has worsened and now she is in a state where she isn’t able to work for her film. She was advised to take complete bed rest for at least 3-4 months. Even after which she has various other movie commitments. Hence Deepika will be seen busy after 3-4 months which puts us in a doubt if the actress could manage to give dates for this movie. The film was supposed to get released in October.
Even Irfan has several other commitments and his recent quirky venture, Blackmail is which will be released on 2nd of April. He will be later working on Vishal Bharadwaj’s Hindi Medium 2 soon. Let’s wish a speedy recovery to both the stars.
