Remember The “Kanta Laga” Girl? This Is How She Looks Now
There was this special kind of aura the early 2000’s songs carried. Just like Phalguni Pathak’s “Chudi”, this song popularly called “Kaanta Laga” has become one of the famous Disco songs of that time. And, the lead dancer in the video song Shefali Zaiwala has earned her sum of fame gladly.
This girl who was a young back then kept everybody holding their breaths whenever they watch this number, Shefali gained a crazy amount of fame and was known as the ‘Kanta Laga Girl’ (for obvious reasons!). After that we found her sharing the screen with Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar and Priyanka Chopra in Mujhse Shaadi Karogi! Later on, she showed up in reality TV shows like Boogie Woogie, Nach Baliye 5 and Nach Baliye 7.
Post the popularity this song has earned, she got recognition and acting roles. After making her debut as an item dancer in 2002, she first went on to act in the movie Mujhse Shaadi Karogi.
Shefali is now 34 years old but still looks stunning. A lot of things have changed in her life over these years. She got married twice since then and done many things in her professional career. She filed a divorce suit against her first husband Harmeet Singh of Meet Bros fame in 2009. She fell in in love and married him in 2002. But after five years of unhappy relationship, Harmeet was accused of physically and mentally torturing his wife.

She then married Parag Tyagi, her boyfriend, she went on impressing everyone with her acts on various shows. Though she was evicted from Nach Baliye a few weeks after disappointing the audience, she didn’t fail in succeeding in the same at her best.
