After the tiresome waiting of 17 years, this Indian woman has finally bagged the Miss World title and this certainly is a landmark achievement for India in 2017. The 20-Year-Old Haryanvi woman Manisha Chhillar has taken the mainstream media by storm by winning the prestigious and pivotal title all the way.

She has become the center of the spotlight within a fortnight. She undeniably is the topic of discussion in the whole country. She became the sixth woman from India. India won the title last in the year 2000 when Bollywood star Priyanka Chopra made a mark at the event.

We must know that this competition is not all about the outlook, contestants were asked certain tricky questions and their chances of winning the crown depends mostly on the same. From a regular college student to getting crowned Miss World, Manushi Chhillar’s journey is a dream for many Indian girls. The 20-year-old, who was studying to become a doctor, is a world-famous personality today.

Since then she has given numerous interviews and finally, she was asked about her engagement which is indicated on her Wikipedia page. She said that she found it funny that people think she is engaged. The rumor is totally false. People think she is engaged to someone but she doesn’t even know who the person is.

It was the first time that media asked her about her relationship and she claimed that she is still single.

“A lot of people have been asking me about my engagement. I am supposed to be engaged with someone, so actually I have been dying that someone should ask me about my engagement, because it’s even in Wikipedia page and it’s quite funny because I don’t even know who this person is, but I wish people would have asked me about it,” Manushi Chhillar said.

“Do I look engaged? I am 20 years old”. Later she sarcastically said, “I actually want to meet this fiancée because he has made my parents life much easier,” Manushi Chhillar said. The model is known to take these things lightly and it wasn’t an exception this time also. She was in a chill mood to respond to such questions.

She joked that if she had a fiancée, the job with her parents would be much easier. She is only twenty years old and it is too early for her to be in a romantic relationship. The medical student always dreamt of becoming Miss India and Miss World. She made her dreams a reality.

Talking about turning her dreams into reality, she said, “It has been the most incredible journey, I just cannot explain that feeling when I was crowned as Miss World. It was beautiful and I felt like whatever I was dreaming was actually falling into place”.

Manushi is a medical student, no medical student have this dream of becoming Miss World, but she had. “I was studying medicine, but I also knew that I wanted to be Miss India and Miss World, but I never knew that it will unfold like this. Becoming a doctor and Miss World is my dream come true,” said Manushi.

We asked Manushi what made her take this up, she explains, “ While growing up I saw a lot of incidents, I felt very bad to see poor menstrual hygiene, and I as a female, instantly got connected with it. I have visited many rural areas where I felt extremely bad to see the lack of awareness on not using sanitary pads during their menstruation because it’s not available in shops or they feel ashamed to buy it. I was blessed to have a family like this and get all the facility, so I thought someone should be there to help them and I took over the responsibility.”
