Prabhas Finally Opened Up About Baahubali 2 Success & Revealed This Biggest Compliment Of His Life
The whole world is going gaga over the SS Rajamouli’s iconic ‘Baahubali’ series which has raised the bar for all the movies to come and the epic ‘Baahubali 2: The Conclusion’ is one of the best movies we watched in 2017. The team’s collective effort made it a huge success.
Undoubtedly, Baahubali 2 is on a roll and it’s in no mood to slow down anytime soon and the movie became the first Indian project to cross the Rs 1500 crore mark recently surprising the whole world.
Yes, there is still much hype that the name of Baahubali has become household after the massive success of the film. People these days are talking more about the ‘Baahubali’ stars than any Bollywood star.
And mainly, the Baahubali lead actor Prabhas has become the next big thing in India, ever since Baahubali 2: The Conclusion hit theaters, the entire nation swooning over his act as the hero.
Speaking about the film huge success and his experiences recently, the Baahubali star Prabhas gave one of his first interviews to Hindustan times.
On the question of his biggest compliment so far, Prabhas told this to Hindustan Times during an interview:
“I think the fact that Rajamouli sir wrote the character of Baahubali for me has been the biggest compliment in itself. (Before I started shooting) I would always wonder how I would ever justify a character of such nature. He also confessed about the pressure he felt while shooting – Just imagine things such as a big budget, a grand release and multilingual versions. How can anyone take it lightly? I had never experienced such an emotion before (in my career). It’s difficult for me to put it down in words.
Prabhas added,
“All the movies from my filmography can be on one side and Baahubali can stand solo on the other side. I was actually very tensed (during the shoot) and wanted to make sure that everyone is content and satisfied with my work.”
Ever since you started working on Baahubali, you haven’t done any other film. Do you feel you have missed out on a lot of work due to the film series?
Not at all! I would have given even seven years of my life for a film like this. [Right at the beginning], I realised that this is one film that would require all my dedication and determination. Imagine, only the action portions of the film took 300 days to be filmed. The schedules were extremely tough, as different portions [of the film] needed me to look different. So, if anything, I have gained immensely as an actor from the series.
Honestly, I am still not out of Baahubali mode. Once I am done with it, I will let you know more [about what I’m feeling] (smiles).
You are being called a pan-India film star now. Does that give you a high?
Honestly, I am still not out of Baahubali mode. Once I am done with it, I will let you know more [about what I’m feeling] (smiles).
In Baahubali, Prabhas portrayed two characters, Amarendra Baahubali as well as his son Shivudu. Quite naturally, to play each of the roles to the perfection, the actor had to undergo different transformations and he fully justified with every role by giving his 100%.
