Priyanka Chopra has always been in news for one or other reason. Dearly called as ‘Desi girl’, she made her mark in Indian film industry with some qualitative movies like Fashion, Barfi and Mary Kom.

However, her journey has become international with the advent in English TV series ‘Quantico’, now with recent action flick ‘Baywatch’, she made her presence firm in Hollywood. Unlike her successful journey, recently she is been criticized on the Internet since the day she met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in an odd attire.

After that meet, she is later criticized for the boomerang clip of her waving Indian flag as dupatta has drawn in huge attention and backlash at the same time. Netizens called her shameless and suggested her to respect the country.

This is not the first time, earlier, many prominent faces of the film industry celebrated Independence Day with enthusiasm and also wished their fans on the occasion, one among them was Desi Girl.

Talking about the backlash her daughter faced because of her attire, Priyanka’s mother Madhu Chopra has reopened the chapter to clear the air. She unveiled Modi’s response to the deed: “Her neckline was right up to her jaw, her hands were covered. They met in the lobby before she was to go for a Baywatch promotional event. She couldn’t have pleaded with the PM to give her two minutes so that she could wear a sari”, she said.

Until yesterday, Priyanka never reacted to any of these openly, however, she finally cleared the air in an interview, said, “I don’t know why you guys give trolling so much importance but for me trolling is not news, it has never been. Trolling is just someone’s opinion and who cares about that?”

She even talked about the Mumbai floods, expressed her concerns about the same, went saying, “Talking about the incident, Priyanka said, “This shouldn’t happen every year and I don’t know what the solution of that is, but it really shouldn’t happen every year.”

Well, she is however on of the most badass actress of our generation, don’t you think so? More power to you girl!!!
