Rajinikanth & Akshay Kumar’s Starrer ‘Robo 2.0’ Release Date Postponed? Check The Truth Behind This News
South Indian director Shankar’s directorial ‘Robo 2.0’ is one of the much-awaited movies of 2018. This science-fiction thriller is the sequel to 2012’s Robo (Ethiran). Rumors have it that the release date of this movie is postponed to April 2018.
Akshay Kumar’s next ‘Padman’ is assumed as the reason behind the delay of Robo 2.0. Earlier, Kaushik LM, a critic of the Tamil industry on Sunday has tweeted: “Bollywood Buzz – #2Point0 release postponed again & #Padman to take its slot for RepublicDay, 2018. #Superstar #Rajinikanth, #AkshayKumar.”
Contrary to this, the sources from the industry claim there is no change in the release date of the movie 2.0. Tamil film critic Sreedhar Pillai tweeted late on Saturday: “Don’t believe rumors #2.O as per schedule on January 25, 2018, says @rajumahalingam of @LycaProductions. He says they r working 2 that date.”
Amidst this, popular film analyst Taran Adarsh also said that there is no truth in the reports, he tweeted: “#2point0 release shifted to April 2018? No truth to it. 25 Jan 2018 it is and that’s final. Stars Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar.”
It is believed that this sequel is made on the staggering Rs 400 crores budget.
Thanks to the prequel that created a buzz in the film industry by attracting huge collections and critical acclaims. For the first time ever, Akshay Kumar is going to act in a South Indian movie, that too in a terribly scary villain role. This must be agreed that Akshay’s association has doubled up the expectations.
Coming to the reasons behind the release, Raju Mahalingam from Lyca Productions has said, “We are working on world-class VFX, and it is taking time. An extensive portion of the visual effects work will be carried out in the USA, and our team is working in full swing now. So, we have zeroed in on January 25th, 2018 as the worldwide release date.”
Well, what’s with the date, all we need is an unforgettable movie and film fraternity has huge hopes on the star director considering his earlier successful films.
