Do you remember the actress Smilie Suri from ‘Kalyug’? She won our hearts with her innocent charm starring opposite Kunal Kemmu. Though she is far away from the films, she is now in the news again after a gap. She is the sister of Mohit Suri and niece of Mahesh Bhatt and Mukesh Bhatt.

Smilie made her debut in 2005 with Kalyug, the movie which had a decent success at the box office but since then, she vanished from the big screen. Smilie was too skinny in 2005 but she looks completely different now. She is now a professional pole dancer. Earlier, the actress was at an all-time low and was battling health issues and depression.

She had gained a lot of weight because she was suffering from Thyroid and PCOD. She started looking too chubby. Later, to cope with her health issues, she decided to lose weight through dancing and started practicing pole dance. This helped her to pick herself and she underwent professional training and decided to teach it herself.

Last year, she was battling with depression and in an interview, she quoted, “I found pole dance, and it has brought me a lot of emotional stability. I don’t feel the need for anyone to back me up anymore. Of course, I still have days when I cry myself to sleep, but all that it takes to wipe away my blues is one student sharing how confident and independent she feels after learning it.”

She got married to a dance instructor Vineet Bangera in 2014 after meeting him for the first time in his dance classes. Back in the year 2016, she had managed to lose about 7 kgs and was pretty happy after shedding those flabs. Smilie was also seen in popular celebrity dance reality show, Nach Baliye 7.

Smilie is pretty active on Instagram and she keeps posting videos of her pole dancing on social media and she tries to teach other people the benefits of dancing and how to do pole dancing. And how it cures thyroid.

Reportedly, Smilie Suri’s married life with Vineet Bangera is also going through a rough patch and the couple has been staying separately for since past one month. She is single-handedly managing her dance classes.
