“Rudramadevi”, is a film which is an epic drama and real story. As the film is about the queen Rudramadevi of Warangal located in the newly formed state of Telangana, Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao had given a gift for the makers of the film and that is Entertainment Tax Exemption. Director Gunashekhar, Dil Raju had met CM KCR to thank him for giving tax exemption for the movie.

“Rudramadevi” Director Gunashekhar shed tears while speaking to media. The press meet was conducted for thanking Telangana Chief Minister KCR for exempting entertainment tax for “Rudramadevi.” Gunashekhar had been very emotional while talking in the press meet. He said, “It was a kind and noble gesture from CM sir and his gift to the film gives me a lot of happiness and I can’t express it in words.”

Gunashekhar said that CM KCR had appreciated him for doing such wonderful films showing our culture and history to the modern world and it was a great job. Such support could result to make more such good films in future. Chief Minister said to me that ‘You are making a historical film. As the government, we are also responsible for supporting such film. Filmmakers like you and films like such are necessary to our society.

On behalf of the Government of Telangana, I consider this film as a special case and I would promote and give support by exempting Entertainment Tax for the film said CM KCR. We know that KCR has a good knowledge of the history of Telangana. He shared some history that he knew about Kakatiya dynasty with me. I was shocked by his knowledge towards history” said Gunasekhar.
