From the day one of ‘Padmavati’, there was always this news that indicated the vague to non-existent bonding between Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh. Both of them alongside Deepika Padukone played prominent roles in the Historical flick directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
After a lot of protests and a long wait, Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus Padmaavat has finally hit theatres. Apart from the greatness and the direction of Bhansali’s latest flick, fans are talking about Deepika Padukone‘s beauty and of course Ranveer Singh’s portrayal of Alauddin Khilji in the role.
The movie has taken the fans and the audience by storm, it is all enough to reveal the grandeur and larger-than-life feel which Bhansali offered to the Indians. People are even stating that after Baahubali, this is another big venture the whole country has come across. With the grand successful streak of “Ram Leela” and “Bajirao Mastani”, it is pretty clear that Padmaavat is going to be the hattrick for Bhansali.
While people are going damn crazy over the menacing looks of Ranveer as Alauddin Khilji, Shahid did his best to counter Khilji, but moreover, it is Ranveer who won the game. With the overwhelming compliments the movie has received, Ranveer received special congratulations from every corner of the film fraternity.
None left stone unturned in praising the Khilji role. While the rest two were completely overshadowed by the immense popularity Khilji has gained, Shahid’s post on Twitter has garnered enough controversy on social media.
While most fans are going crazy about Ranveer’s show in Padmaavat, there was a fan who liked Shahid’s performance in the film more than anything else.

Earlier, sources claimed that Shahid and Ranveer aren’t going to promote the movie together. When Shahid Kapoor was unhappy that he is getting sidelined by Ranveer Singh, the Haider actor had put all rumors to rest and said, “If you are insecure as a person, then you will be insecure in any situation. If you are a secure person and if you are sure about yourself, then nothing matters.”
People close the movie said, “The two male leads aren’t really comfortable with the other being around and therefore the makers deemed it fit to not get Ranveer, Shahid, together with Deepika.”
