Actor Sidharth Malhotra Faces The Wrath Of Netizens For His Insensitive Tweet On The Release Of ‘A Gentlemen’ In Haryana
With the Panchkula court’s decision against the self-proclaimed godman ‘Gurmeet Ram Rahim’, the whole North-Indian states’ Punjab and Haryana are in chaos, with tens of thousands of people alarming into the states, the Internet and Railway routes are blocked.
A mere 144 section is on in Haryana. It is assumed that more than 3o innocents are killed and about hundreds are injured. As of now, sources claim that the situation is partly good as the groups of military troops are deployed monitoring the conditions.
Amidst this chaos, it is Sidharth Malhotra’s tweet that drew much criticism, the actor’s new movie is released today, in accordance with the ongoing hysterical situation in the dual states, it is very clear that the theaters are off.
Well, it seems that the actor didn’t get it right, he bluntly made a tweet on the unfortunate things happening in Haryana, added that the people might watch his movie once the instability comes to an end.
He in his tweet quoted, “To all the people of Haryana, please stay safe. Hope you can see our film soon #Agentleman #PeaceAndLove

Well, it would be great if Sid had tweeted the same before the day (of course, excluding the thing about ‘A Gentleman’ movie), however, this tweet from him, has roped in the backlash on the Internet.
It became difficult to understand if he really cares for the people, or is he just promoting his film. Post this, he once again tweeted, “Its really sad to see the situation worsen since morning and see people in Punjab and Haryana suffer. Love and prayers.”
Meanwhile, check out how Twitterati went slamming the actor,
After this much outrage from the public, Sid, then made a series of tweets, one about the Haryana incident and another one- reply to those who commented on his first tweet, the reply read:
“To people who are commenting on my morning tweets, they were made before the verdict! Thoughts n prayers.”
However, his intention might be fair but what all happened at the end is his choice of words, and the unfortunate aftermath that added the criticism.
