Tapsee Pannu Now Apologizes To Director K Raghavendra Rao, Adds That She Was Clueless

Tapsee Pannu, a South Indian actress who started her career with Tollywood’s flick ‘Jhummandi Naadam’ directed by K Raghavendra Rao has made some shocking statements on the same regarding his ways of filmmaking.

The actress while taking part in the popular YouTube’s podcast channel ‘East India Company’ has taken some major digs on the Tollywood’s senior director, questioned what was so sensuous on dropping a coconut on the mid-riffs.

Chatting about her experience with the director, she went saying that the way Tollywood looked at her wasn’t that way to the way Bollywood looks. She slammed the director on his obsession with the midriff. While describing her thoughts prior to the scene during the shoot, she was quoted saying:

“I saw Sridevi’s and others’ videos. Everyone had flowers and fruits thrown at them,” Tapsee says in the video. “My turn came and I don’t know, maybe I was not prepared as I told you… they threw a coconut at me! I don’t know what is so sensuous about a coconut hitting my midriff.”

The video was played during the event, in the video, Tapsee was seen dancing. popping out from the life-sized coconut and a coconut falls on her mid-riff with the water sprinkled. The whole viewers were burst in laughter as the video was played right at the venue.

Later, she said: “If you see, the water in the large coconut had turned slightly blue, that was because my dress’s color seeped into it.”

“I can’t understand the obsession, what are you looking at here?” said Tapsee, questioning the presence of sensuous in the scene.

Back then, Tollywood’s Mega Star Chiranjeevi in some event has commented that if one wanted to learn about fruits, one’s the best bet would be “to do one film with director K Raghavendra Rao. He used to put all the fruits around the heroine’s navel.”

Now after a week, she might have noticed the rift that has been going on social media. The actress now opened up regarding this, posted a video on her Facebook page apologizing to the director and those who got offended by that.

She, in her video, was quoted saying, “It took me a little while to understand what was wrong in my comments because I thought that it was me I was making fun of – of how unfit I was for this industry and how I was so clueless about whatever was happening with me in the industry. I really wanted to make fun of myself and nothing else. I felt it is great if you can laugh at your own self. But in the process, if I have, by mistake hurt anyone, I am really sorry,” said the actor.
