This Bollywood Film’s Failure Didn’t Let Aamir Khan Sleep For 3 To 4 Weeks
Dearly called as Mr. Perfectionist, Aamir Khan is one such actor who does the impossible things all the time. He won a numerous number of awards but he surely is seen nowhere at the events. His real revetting journey has begun from Bollywood’s blockbuster “Ghajini”. From then, there was no going back. He is probably the only actor in Bollywood who has been constantly giving back-to-back hits for the last 17 years of his career. His recent flick ‘Dangal’ is the absolute proof of everything that Bollywood needs right now.
It is very well known that Aamir Khan means perfection, and whenever this superstar does any film, it means that the film is going be flawless. But the actor has always accepted that in the starting of his career, he didn’t do good movies and it was not according to what he was planning to do.
Back in 1995, Aamir Khan’s one film released called Aatank Hi Aatank in which he played the Bollywood version of Michael Corleone from the Hollywood film The Godfather. The film was a disaster at the box office and the interesting thing is that the film also starred Rajinikanth.
He himself has talked about the situation in a recent media interaction, Aamir Khan has shared that time when he got depressed after seeing his work in the film. A media house has quoted Aamir Khan saying, “After the release of this film, I was shocked. I felt like I shouldn’t have done the film. No sooner did I watch the film did I realize that I have really done a very bad job. I chose some not-so-good roles at the beginning of my career.”
He added, “I couldn’t sleep for almost three to four weeks at a stretch!” he explains, adding, “Where did my common sense disappear?”
Started off with the clouds of expectations, this movie was a box office bomb, this shocked Aamir Khan and he couldn’t sleep for 3 to 4 weeks. Unlike the result of the movie, Aamir Khan’s performance was being appreciated a lot. However, Aamir was not happy with himself.
Aamir Khan took that in a positive way and said that he started choosing good roles and good movies after that blunder in his career. Well, after all, he accepted this and we can’t appreciate it more. Now, since then, every movie Aamir has done is quite eccentric and off the grid.
