This Bollywood Starlet Wanted To Be A Criminal Psychologist But Gets Married To A Star Cricketer!!

Everyone dreams of becoming something in their life when they’re in their childhood. Unfortunately, not everyone can turn their dreams into reality. There are many Bollywood celebrities who dreamt of entering into various professions but ended up in choosing acting as a career. Here’s one such actress who wanted to become a criminal psychologist but ended as an actress and later got married to a cricketer.

We are talking about Geeta Basra, who is the wife of Harbhajan Singh. She wanted to become a psychologist before turning into a model-actress but now destiny changed her life as a housewife. She starred in movies like “Dil Diya Hai” and “The Train” opposite Emraan Hashmi. She was also seen in Rahat Fateh Ali Khan’s “Ghum Sum Ghum Sum” music video.

Her journey into Bollywood industry was not very easy. She was born in a Punjabi Family residing in Portsmouth on the south coast of England and completed her education there. She had to leave her home to enter into the Bollywood industry with no one to guide her around. She managed it all on her own and started living in Mumbai.

Geeta and Harbhajan’s love story started when he saw her music video and it was love at for him. He asked his friends to arrange a meeting with her. When he texted her, she ignored him for the longest time possible but later on realized that he’s a good guy and eventually gave in.

They dated for 5 years unofficially before surprising everybody with a simple wedding at Gurudwara in 2015. They are blessed with a baby girl Hinaya Heer. Geeta left her acting aspirations completely after giving birth to Hinaya and bid adieu to her modeling career too. She is a full-time housewife who takes care of her little baby girl.

When Geeta was asked about her love story she said,

“At that moment in my life, I wasn’t interested in getting into a relationship. I was very new to India and the industry. The Train had just released and my focus was on movies. I knew if I got into a relationship, then things will change.

He pursued me for 10 months. I think the media also played a role in getting us together. I realized one day that he’s a nice guy, you don’t find a lot of nice guys these days. My friends loved him and they gave me the go-ahead.”
