One such star who earned huge fan base is Karishma Tanna for her adorable love story with Upen Patel.

Karishma Tanna and Upen met in the house for the first time and fell in love inside the house. Unlike other couples, they didn’t break up after getting out the house. Their love stood still for years. Now Karishma is stuck in legal trouble as she failed to fulfill a work commitment given by her.

Karishma Tanna was asked to give a performance at a wedding reception in Haldwani, which she accepted and also took money in advance. Neither she attended the function nor she informed the manager about the same, which resulted in a huge loss to the company. Not only she missed the ceremony, she also threatened the driver of harassment if he didn’t turn the car back to Delhi.

As per Manas Katyal, event manager,

“We gave her the advance payment, thus booking her for the said date. However, Karishma and her entourage, including her manager Payal Rai and stylist Seema Samar Ahmed, didn’t show up at the venue. Her no-show caused us a loss of nearly Rs 10 lakh. She threatened our driver with a false case of harassment if he didn’t turn the car around and drive her back to Delhi.”

While Karishma, in turn, accused Katyal of mental harassment and filed a counter case. She said that Manas didn’t tell her the exact location of the reception and said she couldn’t travel long distances because of her backache.

She released a statement saying,

“I was told the show was in Moradabad. When we reached Moradabad, we found out that the show was actually in Haldwani, which is another few hours from there. I had told Manas right at the start that I have a back issue and can’t travel long distances. Why should I return the money? He should compensate me for the mental harassment that I was put through” said Karishma Tanna when being questioned on the issue.

Karishma Tanna and Upen broke the hearts of their fans when they announced their break up and said that the decision is mutual and asked the fans to respect it.
