Anupam Kher, who is an experienced actor and is the Chairman of Film and Television Institute of India. He had acted over 500 films and even acted in Hollywood and is the only person who received 8 Filmfare awards year after year. He Debuted in the film “Saaransh” in 1984. He got honored with Padma Shri in 2004 and Padma Bhushan in 2016. This popular actor has a net worth of around $70million.
But what left us amused is that a person who has the net worth of $70million brought a BMW on a loan. In 2004, when his wife Kirron Kher was elected to Lok Sabha, the government declares his net worth as 33.5 crores and a BMW worth 42.6 lakhs which has a loan of 17.64 lakh from India Financial Services Pvt Ltd. He also took a business loan of Rs 1.21 lakh from 20-20 television company for the same.
Anupam Kher was born on March 7th, 1955 in Shimla. He had a humble beginning from the starting of his life and during his struggling days as an actor in Mumbai, he used to sleep at the railway station. Though he was never the lead actor, Anupam didn’t bother about his characters during initial days as he was he made the most of the little opportunities in his career.
He acted in a variety of roles and now a motivational speaker who spoke about his modest life before entering into Bollywood and how he almost wanted to give up after writing about his hardships in Mumbai but his grandfather stopped him from doing so. He said
“I had spent many days hungry; had slept on railway stations at times because I did not have money to pay for a hotel room… there were moments when I felt I had compromised my dignity as a human being and as an actor,” he recalls.
He revealed his grandfather’s reply which changed his entire course of life,
“He told me I could not let my parents down and reminded me that my parents have had to sell many pieces of family jewelry to pay for my fees at the acting school. You have been trying hard for three years and you will surely get a breakthrough. ‘A drenched man no longer fears a rain shower!’
