Vidya Balan’s Kahaani 2 was widely appreciated by the critics for her acting performance and also for the storyline. Vidya played the role Durga Rani Singh who is a mother of a teenaged paralyzed girl, Minnie who is a victim of sexual abuse. She tries to commit suicide by that doesn’t take her life and she ends up in a paralyzed state. Minnie’s character was played by Tunisha Sharma which was widely exclaimed by the audience.

The girl who was seen Paralyzed from the waist down in Kahaani 2 grabbed the attention of the audience with her cute looks. She also acted in various televisions shows and played the characters like Chand Kanwar in Bharat Ka Veer Putra – Maharana Pratap, Ahankara in Chakravartin Ashoka Samrat, Sanya in Gabbar Poonchwala.

She also acted in movies like Baar Baar Dekho as little Diya and as Young Firdaus in the movie Firangi. Both the times she acted as young Katrina Kaif in the movies.

She is currently working on her next project Krina which is a revenge thriller based on tribal communities. It’s a story where a tribal revolts against a cruel dictator who rapes and murders when somebody tries to go against his orders. The boy revolts against the dictator with the help of local girls and one of them falls for him for his bravery.

Coming to Kahaani 2, she played the role of a young traumatized girl who is a victim of sexual abuse within the family. The girl doesn’t reveal about her uncle’s assault on her to anyone in the family. She sleeps during the classes and Vidya attempts to befriend her which fails terribly so she goes on to confront her grandmother.

She gets to know about her uncle’s assault on Minnie and reveals the same to her grandmother who doesn’t believe her words and asks her to leave them alone. Minnie tries to end her life witnessing all the incidents but she gets saved but is paralyzed from the waist down.

Vidya Balan who plays the role of Durga flees away with her after she accidentally kills her grandmother. She then takes her as her own child and gathers money for her treatment. But Minnie’s uncle kidnaps her in the name of revenge and Minnie kills him. They flee away to Newyork yet again with a new identity and a hope to get her treatment done.
