Varun Dhawan’s Sarcastic Reply To The E-Challan Sent By Mumbai Police Is Going Viral

Debuting with the Karan Johar’s Bollywood high-school drama “Student Of The Year”, actor Varun Dhawan has made an astounding entry into the film industry. With no arrears in regarding the box-office collections, it was his demeanor all the way. As of now, Varun has done 9 films, and there’s no single flaw in any of them, not only in critical response point of view, the box office collections and the critical acclaim for his actions were no-way gone.

Varun’s career isn’t limited to the home-style emotional dramas, he surprised people with his amusing dances in the sequel to the prior dance flick “ABCD”. With the rugged age-old look in “Badlapur”, he stunned audience being the show-stopper throughout the social drama. On a brief note, it can be plainly said that there’s no single actor in Bollywood who maintained such an esteemed 9-movie-hit streak.

Amidst all the hype he has earned so far, the Mumbai Police on Thursday issued a challan to Varun Dhawan for taking a selfie with a fan from his car and warned him to avoid such antics in future. The actor has apologized.

The official Twitter handle of Mumbai Police shared snapshots of a newspaper article featuring Varun pulling off the selfie stunt on the road. The actor is seen partly out of his car’s window and taking a selfie with a female fan who is seen traveling in an auto rickshaw.

In the tweet, they wrote, “Varun Dhawan these adventures surely work on the silver screen, but certainly not on the roads of Mumbai. You have risked your life, your admirer’s and few others. We expect better from a responsible Mumbaikar and youth icon like you! An e-challan is on the way to your home. Next time, we will be harsher.”

However, soon after the tweet went viral garnering huge attention from the tweeples and Mumbai Police, Varun Dhawan humbly responded to the tweet by the cops, he wrote, “My apologies 🙏 Our cars weren’t moving since we were at a traffic signal and I didn’t want to hurt the sentiment of a fan but next time I’ll keep safety in mind and won’t encourage this.”

His reply is,

As per the sources, Deputy Commissioner of police and police spokesperson Deepak Devraj confirmed that he was fined Rs. 600 under section 123/177 (Riding on running board outside the vehicle), section 125/177 (Obstruction to the driver) and 138 (3) CMVR/177 MVA (Rough/rash/negligent driving).

Coming to the story behind the picture, it was clicked by a Mid-day photographer Satej Shinde, this shutterbug has another different story to tell, he said that minutes before Varun Dhawan took the ‘controversial’ selfie, he had warned a biker about violating traffic rules by insisting that he should wear a helmet. Satej Shinde witnessed this episode and hence, he attempted to click Varun’s picture. But by then, the auto rickshaw stood next to Varun Dhawan’s car and the actor obliged by clicking a selfie with her.

Now, Varun’s another tweet after the incident featured a picture of him posing on a ‘Being Human’ cycle. He captioned it, “My new ride #beinghumancycle #ecycle. Best way to commute in Mumbai. Keeps you healthy”. Well, the term ‘e’ connects everything.

Despite the replies given by Varun on Twitter, regarding the traffic and other constraints, Mumbai Cops simply sent him an e-challan. Many common people take selfies on roads and click photographs in crowded areas, but as it has come to celebrities, Varun is in this case, ‘the victim’. He surely was unhappy, and this post by Mumbai Police on the Internet in PUBLIC is bit rude.

From Game of Thrones to Superman, they have used it all in the past. Ever since its Twitter debut in December 2015, Mumbai Police Twitter handle has been consistently using trendy memes, GIFS, and witty one-liners to get their message across to a new generation.
