Vijay Devarakonda’s First Bilingual Movie “NOTA” poster released.

Vijay Devarakonda who rose to fame with his movie “Pelli Chupulu” and “Arjun Reddy” is all set for his next bilingual project “NOTA.” The film is going to release in Telugu and Tamil, and it’s going to be his first debut in the Tamil Industry. The movie is being directed by Anand Shankar. The Title and the poster of the film were released on 8th March and both the title and poster is giving a hint that the picture is a Political Thriller. Vijay plays a role of a politician which will give a tough competition to Mahesh’s “Bharat Anu Nenu” where Mahesh’s also playing a role of a politician. Vijay released the poster on Twitter saying “My Official Statement”

 

Mehreen Pirzada will be seen playing the female lead in the film. The rest of the cast is yet to be finalized. Music will be composed by Sam CS. On talking about the movie Anand said,

“Instead of taking long gaps between each project, I decided to work on two-three solid scripts and keep myself ready. Producer Gnanavel Raja and I and have been discussing the possibility of working together for a long time. After multiple meetings, I pitched one of the scripts which he really liked it and wanted to take it to Vijay Deverakonda. I was excited about the idea because I’ve been planning to take baby steps towards Telugu industry and this offer couldn’t have come at a better time,”

The director also posted the poster on his twitter handle with a caption, “This is NOT inspired from true events ;)”

When Anand was asked about his experience with Vijay and about the genre of the film he said,

“When a meeting was set up with Vijay, we were told he’s become very choosy. But he’s a very smart guy who knows what he’s talking about. It’s going to be a very interesting film. Both of us will get to do something we haven’t done so far in our careers. “This is not a rom-com. This will be intense drama. We’re currently allocating dates for the shoot and once done we will make an official announcement.”
