Just a few days back, when asked about Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra, who are heading to Hollywood, Veteran Bollywood actors Anil Kapoor and Nasseruddin Shah gave their clever take on it.

Anil Kapoor said,“The stuff you are seeing now is nothing. Yeh Kuch Bhi Nahi Hai. This is nothing, you mark my words. I said this seven years back and nobody took me seriously and I am telling you again now. Are you happy seeing this? This is nothing. The real deal would be when a young guy or a young girl gets a role and becomes a huge star. Am I making sense? When someone who has just started her career and her first film happens to be a Hollywood one, It will happen. Someone will definitely become a huge star. That’s success for me. This is nothing. Kya hai yeh? You just wait and see what is going to happen. It is great what is happening right now but it is going to get better and better.”

This seems for a stink of Hypocrisy that Anil definitely isn’t impressed with Deepika and Priyanka’s Hollywood debuts. Did you observe what he said? Anil Kapoor tells that after a long career in Bollywood, he did a cameo in Hollywood in films like Slumdog Millionaire and Mission Impossible which are huge hits. But when Deepika and Priyanka are stepping into Hollywood and doing full-fledged lead characters, but this is not enough for Anil Kapoor.

Nasseruddin Shah also said, “These people who are tom-tomming their entry into Hollywood are all going to come back very soon because Hollywood has no place for an Asian to play a lead. It’s a one-off thing.”

How this statement seems to you? This is what it is called as too negative thinking. Such statements from these veterans will surely start a debate; that whether Deepika and Priyanka’s careers are going to fail in Hollywood or will they prove Anil and Naseeruddin wrong and reach to greater heights?
