Malayalam actress Anupama Parameswaran has been roped in as the leading lady in writer-turned-director Satish Vegesna’s upcoming Telugu film ‘Shatamanam Bhavati’, which features Raj Tarun in the lead.

“After much contemplation, Anupama has been finalised as the heroine. This will be the first time Raj and Anupama will be seen as a pair,” said a source from the film’s unit.

“The character is simple and very close to Anupama’s age. The makers felt that she would make a fresh pairing with Raj Tarun and approached her. Moreover, Raj is almost a star now and she doesn’t want to lose the opportunity of working with him,” shares a source close to the actress.

Anupama Parameswaran was seen in just one Malayalam film, but that has led to a series of roles in Telugu and Tamil. She has four projects in her kitty, including Dhanush’s eagerly-awaited Tamil political drama ‘Kodi’. This young actress has a good fan following because of her role in the cult classic ‘Premam’. She is reprising her own role in Telugu remake of Premam starring Naga Chaitanya. Anupama is also playing second lead in Trivikram – Nithiin’s A..Aa.

This family entertainer ‘Shatamanam Bhavati’ will be bankrolled by Dil Raju, and it’s likely to have Mickey J Meyer as the music director; while the rest of the cast and crew are yet to be finalised. The movie is slated to go on the floors from May onwards.
