Finally, Director SS Rajamouli Answers ‘Why Kattappa Killed Baahubali?’

SS Rajamouli’s ‘Baahubali’ was announced as the winner of the prestigious National Award for Best Film for the year 2015. The film created history in box office collections and became the country’s highest grosser ever. On this occasion, the director talks about his experience of making India’s biggest motion picture and few important details of the film.

Director Rajamouli was asked about the challenges he faced, bringing his father’s story to life, collaboration with producers and everything in between making the film.

When asked about his biggest challenge he faced, the director said, “We shot for around 380 days, and after 330 days, I could feel that the energy levels inside the crew are going low. So pumping energy into the whole team is one of the biggest challenges. I don’t know how it is in the other industries, but as far as our industry is concerned, everybody takes their energy from the director.”

In an interesting turn of events, the director also ended up revealing why Katappa killed Baahubali, the question of the year that has haunted fans ever since the film released.
