Sunny Deol has proved that nothing can beat him at the box office as he is a one man army with a huge fan following. His latest release “Ghayal Once Again” took off the story from where it had left 16 years ago in Ghayal. Giving other actors a run for their money, Sunny Deol’s film has collected Rs. 7.20 Cr on day one itself.

He is efficiently supported by an able cast that includes; Narendra Jha as the business tycoon Raj Bansal, Om Puri as Joe D’Souza the former police officer who is now an RTI activist, Harsh Chhaya as Aditya Raj Guru the editor of The Daily Herald and Manoj Joshi as the politician.

Sunny Deol’s film clashed at the box office with “Sanam Teri Kasam” movie which has Pakistani actress Mawra Hocane & Harshvardhan Rane in lead roles. It is a battle of muscle v/s romance, we can see Ghayal Once Again not being affected by the same.

Sanam Teri Kasam has not been able to generate any hype around itself. It is an intense love story and that was expected to give it a boost, but at the moment there is no sign of it as many theater seats, at least in the morning shows, are going empty.

In terms of positives, Sanam Teri Kasam has received somewhat positive reviews and is expected to fare better at multiplexes; however the film will have to rely on strong word of mouth to make an impact at the box office.

Sunny Deol’s Ghayal Once Again seems to have got a slight edge over Sanam Teri Kasam sheerly because of the macho man’s star power.
