Malayalam beauty Sai Pallavi, who stole many hearts with her role as Malar in ‘Premam’ is all set to make her Tollywood debut with Varun Tej under the direction of Sekhar Kammula. Noted producer Dil Raju will be producing the film that is likely to go on floors in August or September.

“Sekhar Kammula is a wonderful narrator and Varun has already established a name for himself. I am happy to announce a project with them.” said Dil Raju, adding, “A love story between an NRI from the USA and a girl from Telangana will form the core of this soft romantic drama. The film will start rolling from July 25th. By the end of August, the Telangana scenes in the movie will be wrapped up. Shooting will go in the USA in October and the total shoot will be wrapped up in that schedule. The movie is going to be readied for a release in December.”

Varun Tej has established a unique identity for himself within a short span of time and Sekhar Kammula is known for making clean entertainers that attract youth as well as the family audience. Sai Pallavi, besides Premam, has also worked in Malayalam film ‘Kali’ among others and won accolades.

Sources said the film will have trademark Sekhar Kammula characterisation and Pallavi has been given a strong character in the flick. Other details about the cast and crew will be formally announced by the team soon.
