Tamil film Thani Oruvan is among the most successful films of this year in Kollywood. It is known that its Telugu remake reportedly features Mega Power Star Ram Charan under the direction of Surender Reddy. Thani Oruvan Telugu remake was all set to launch on 18th February (Ekadasi) with a traditional pooja ceremony. The film will start its regular shooting from 21st February.

Ram Charan IN & AS ‘Dhruva’

As per the latest reports, Ram Charan and team were considering ‘Dhruva’ as title for Thani Oruvan Telugu remake. Though, early on we were reported about ‘Rakshak’ as the one in their thoughts but now ‘Dhruva’ floats to top. In this sensational remake, Rakul Preet will be playing the lead cast. Aravind Swamy who did the villain role in the original is playing the villain in Telugu version too. Hiphop Thamizha is scoring music for the first time in telugu. Allu Aravind is producing this film under Geetha Arts banner.

Thani Oruvan was originally written and directed in Tamil by M Raja under AGS Entertainments. It is a thriller based film which revolves around sincere cop and a ruthless businessman. It is said to have grossed over Rs 70 crore and was a blockbuster.
