You might have heard about getting tattoos on your eyeballs, but you should think twice about this as they bring a lot of consequences to them.

Finding eye tattoo pictures on social media is extremely easy, but they have their own risks and complications.

Here are some of the risks you will be getting once you get an eyeball tattoo:

1. Decreased vision
2. Complete blindness
3. Retinal detachment
4. Infection
5. Ongoing inflammation of the eye
6. Sensitivity to light
7. Feeling like something is in your eye all the time
8. Loss of the entire eye

There are a number of cases that suggest you should not get an eyeball tattoo.

Catt Gallinger, a woman who had the same wish as yours, knew something was wrong with here eyeball tattoo once it was done.

News outlets around the world shared her story on social media in September 2017.

Catt said that she had immediate pain and that purple liquid started to come out of her eye before she rushed to the hospital for treatment.

According to a post that was made by Catt, she said that the person that performed the scleral tattoo made a lot of mistakes.

She ended up getting reduced vision, clumps of tattoo ink around her cornea, and ongoing pain.

In 2017, Paul Freund, an MD, and Mark Greve, and MD, reported a tragic case.

The doctors from the University of Alberta said that a 24-year-old man that was undergoing an eyeball tattoo procedure experienced a sudden, painful loss of vision while the tattoo artist was injecting ink into the first eye.

The doctors ended up concluding that the ink had been injected too deeply into the eyes that it got in the middle of the eye.

These 2 are just some of the many cases that show why it is not safe to get tattoos on your eyeballs.

The chances are high that you won’t be getting the tattoo from a person that has experience in it, so it would be recommended to consult with your doctor before getting it.
